Avery Meets Santa!

Santa and Mrs. Claus came to Nanna's last Thursday. It was so neat! All of the children waited at the stairs to see them. They giggled and giggled and once they saw Santa were starstruck. Avery ended up being one of the only ones that was excited to sit on Santa's lap! She loved the white fur on Mrs Claus' outfit and was fascinated with Santa's beard.

It was also nice to meet all of the parents and their children. Everyone seems so nice and normal (does that sound bad!?). And most importantly the children loved Avery! We are loving Nanna and the adjustment to daycare is going so much smoother.

Christmas 2012

It is a fluke that I can add photos again!? Let's hope this continues!

Merry (late) Christmas to all! This time of year is so much fun and now with Avery, it makes the holiday even better! Our Christmas holiday began a week early in Lincoln with my family.

We went on our annual Christmas lights tour, which begins with dinner at Don & Millies and continues with a cooler, a mixed drink, a van and a camera. This is our third year of going! Saturday evening we had a traditional Christmas dinner followed by gift opening. We were spoiled :)

Isn't my Avery the sweetest?

One of the two Christmas trees in my parents house.

Prime rib MMmmm

Unfortunately, I got a yucky stomach bug on Sunday that spread to Jon & Kristin. Not exactly how I wanted to end our celebration.

This past week we went down to Tulsa to spend the actual holiday with the Haus'! (Every year we rotate holidays). It was nice to have a few extra days to spend with everyone. Avery was the highlight of the trip and she did such a good job with all of the new faces and being passed around from person to person.

Again, we were spoiled! So thankful for such awesome families and all of the laughs and memories we continue to make.

GIRLS!

Oh and how can I forget our families little Christmas that we celebrated? The blizzardy weather last Wednesday was the perfect time to start the fireplace and open gifts.

Watching the snow fall.

For all those who know Greg, they know his infamous moccasins that were his dad's. He whips them out in the chilly months and they were worn to the sole! I decided to get Greg a new pair and he was thrilled!

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

It's days like today that the ole '98 Pontiac Sunfire just isn't cutting it. With a foot of snow on the ground, driving is rough. Not impossible, just rough. If it were just me driving I wouldn't mind, but now that I have my sweet baby to transport it would sure be nice to get something new.

So, Santa, the only thing on my Christmas list this year is a new car. Nothing brand new or super fancy. Just something more reliable for our little family. Please and thank you! :)

Love,
Libby

Missin' My Blog!

Oh dear, I am missing my blog! I miss updating everyone on the funny things that happen to me throughout the week and uploading pictures of Avery and all of her discoveries (seems like there have been so many recently).

One thing I must say is that I am ECSTATIC about the weather that is coming our way - A BLIZZARD! This mild 50-degree weather isn't cutting it for Christmas and I am really looking forward to a night in with my two favorite people ordering pizza and watching TV with the fireplace going. There is something about this weather that gets me excited. I truly love all of the seasons and can't imagine living somewhere without them.

I will leave you with a few pictures (this is the maximum I can download before this stupid site says I need to pay). Avery is enjoying the holiday and getting new toys to play with. She is growing so fast!

Happy Holidays to all! This year, given the recent events going on in the world, don't forget to take the opportunity to reflect on all your blessings this year. God is good!
